I decided to become a Realtor almost 20 years ago after a successful career working in public liaison and communications for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. The common thread of purpose and enjoyment in my working life and in my church and volunteer work, is helping people and seeing that everyone is represented and respected.  Helping folks find that first home or that different home as lives change is very rewarding for me. Helping someone sell their family home or a home they have raised their children in can be an emotional as well as a happy (and stressful!!) time. Guiding them through what is rarely an easy and straightforward process is most rewarding.  The actual purchase or sale of a home is the first step and that first step requires negotiating, knowledge of the market, and experience.  Being the support and the counselor guiding clients to a successful and smooth closing is what this is all about for me.  It’s not just the selling and buying but the support and guidance that makes me know that this is the part of this work that I enjoy.

I have lived in the Durham-Chapel Hill area for 40+ years and raised two great sons who have blessed my husband and me with four wonderful grandchildren.  I would be happy to assist you in the sale or purchase of a home.  Even if it is a thought not ready for implementation, don’t hesitate to get in touch.  Again, it’s the helping part that resonates with me!
